Let's Visually Develop that Shit!

Just a heads-up, I plan on visually developing the pee out of my book Emperor's Blood for my portfolio. Get ready for shitloads of speedpaints of layouts and everything in between until you can look at alla that and freakin' see what's in my head when I'm thinking about all that!

Definitely a first for authors - an author visually developing her world on a par reserved for animated films and video games.

I hope!

  1. I've been doing the same with my world, starting with random character portraits and place backdrops. Decided to redevelop the whole thing with a load of visually oriented bits and pieces to help me organise and keep track of everything. I'm definitely a visual learner as opposed to auditory or kinesthetic, so I really benefit from sketching out my thoughts. You'll really enjoy the process and I can't wait to see the results!

  2. <3 Thanks! Well, I already do it mostly, but I'm going to extend from doing mainly just character driven drawings to more actual scene concepts and layouts - or at least that's the plan anyway. It would be nice to make an artbook out of it all when I'm done.
