Reference Gallop for 1st Year Cap Students

Rough Reference Gallop Cycle from Rosanna Brost on Vimeo.

Working files are on the network.

Here's my opinions of the gallop:
-They should usually be on ones, with a solid looking head and body. The eye is usually more drawn to the head and body, so make these look nice, but make some nice legs too so the whole package is good to look at!
-If they're on twos, it's a slower gallop.
-There's a great potential for squash and stretch in the gallop! Take advantage of this! A great example of beautiful gallop animation is the game Okami.
-Galloping can be quite pushy and edgy if you know what you're doing. This is just a rough one though, so I was really only focusing on getting all the parts right.
-There are two points when all four feet are completely off the ground and the body is in midair.
-Remember what the fetlocks (wrists) do. (Shock absorbers.)
-ALWAYS use references. Different animals move differently!
-Have fun!
