One of the things I have to work with is that a lot of Moh's suggestions went against the creed or 'rules' of the place I'm now depicting. Copperbane is a place where few humans live and indeed, the stone fortress shown is home to a very small group, not even large enough to call a village - the Fletch family. There are no roads to the fortress. There are only thin winding trails and these for the most part go unmarked. It's a peaceful place, a land locked eternally in wilderness. Except for the fortress, the structures of Copperbane are all small, out of the way things. The bridges are barely wide enough to allow a human, much less a horse. The only form of railing is a rope on one side and the bridges themselves is fashioned of rough log planks.
I call the first concept the 'Lori concept' because I'm basing off of the suggestions of my good friend and classmate Lori Allen, combined with a suggestion about having more boulders from another friend/classmate Candice Prince.
The second version is actually closer to my original mental concept of what this place actually looks like. In my original idea, the keep was just a fortress in some random meadow on the plateau.
The third concept is known as 'I'm getting bored and running out of ideas' and is actually the closest to what my original idea of what Copperbane is like was.
Enjoy. I'm now going to work on layouts for my bumper. If I get sick of that well... don't be surprised if I draw another velociraptor. I'm on a serious velociraptor drawing kick.
